Emma Jane Gay was an American photographer. In 1889, she accompanied Alice Cunningham Fletcher on an expedition to Idaho and Nebraska on behalf of the U.S. Department of the Interior. The photographs in this collection are just a few of the ones Gay took on this expedition.
